About Us
We created PSI to Inches of Water Converter to remove friction from everyday pressure math in HVAC, hydraulics, and lab work. Our goal is a tool that’s obvious to use, fast on mid-range phones, and accurate enough for your day-to-day engineering judgment.
What this tool does
- Realtime, unit-aware converting: change either side and the other updates instantly.
- Clear precision control: a Decimals setting (default 3) for display, while calculations use full precision.
- Engineering-friendly constants: conversions follow the path psi to Pa to inH₂O with standard constants (1 psi = 6,894.757293 Pa; 1 inH₂O at 60 °F = 248.84 Pa).
- Many units on tap: Pa, bar, atm, torr, inHg, mmHg, kPa, MPa, GPa, lb/ft², t/m², and inH₂O.
- Handy actions: share a result, reload the calculator, or clear inputs when you’re starting over.
Our principles
- Accuracy first. We publish the formula and constants so you can sanity-check the math.
- Privacy by default. No accounts required to use the converter.
- Accessibility & speed. Clean typography, keyboard-friendly inputs, and a lightweight UI.
Roadmap
- Quick “copy result” and CSV/PDF export
- Unit presets and saved scenarios
- Dark mode and tighter mobile ergonomics
